Job summary:
Capturing of cashbook and payments. Prepare journals, reconcile inter-company transactions and balances, reconcile and collect debtors’ balances, income verification, reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts. Assist with monthly information and support Financial Manager in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounts department.

Key areas of responsibility:
Duties including but not limited to:

People
- Ability to communicate with a variety of individuals on all levels in order to obtain and confirm information
- Contribute to the financial team’s overall action plan as per set work activities.

Processes
- Capturing of the cashbook
- Capturing of payments
- Process journals
- Prepare and issue invoices for inter-company loan accounts
- Balance inter-company loan accounts and prepare payments
- Customer invoicing on request
- Debtors collections
- Deductions for payroll
- Assist in the compilation of monthly management accounts
- Assist in the compilation of annual financial statements
- Assist in the compilation of annual budget
- Compilation of monthly Income Verification file
- Compilation of monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation file
- Monthly VAT reconciliation
- Monthly Turnover reconciliation
- Prepare management information as requested
- Participate in weekly planning sessions

Technology
- Apply systems and tools as provided
- Adhere to the company’s IT and security policies

Finance / Growth
- Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures
- Assist with preparation of management information.

Qualifications and Experience
Formal Education
Grade 12 with Accounting
Certificate in Bookkeeping or equivalent.
Articles at a registered TiPP or ToPP provider will be an advantage, but not required.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience.
Relevant personal attributes:
Highly organised, have concern for service delivery with good coordination skills, presentable, approachable, good communication and interpersonal skills, pro-active and self-motivated.
