Senior Chemist QC (Supervisor)
Blue chip company based in the Vaal Triangle has the following vacancy in their QC Laboratory
Qualifications:
• Grade 12 with mathematics and science as subjects
• Degree in Analytical Chemistry
Experience
• 6-8 years managing a high-throughput 24/7 production facility ( preferably in organic chemistry laboratory ) of which 5 years must be supervisory experience
• SANAS IEC/ISO 17025 experience non-negotiable
• Ensure all lab procedures are implemented
• Management of lab equipment and the proper maintenance
• Stock ordering and administration
• Documentation management, archiving and revision
• Management of material resources
• Conduct investigations and non-conformance trending
Duties
• Supervise activities the QC laboratory
• Ensure analyses are performed correctly & timeously
• Ensure quality results
• Maximum throughput of sample analyses
• Management of staff
• Management of budget
• Management of SHE
• Technical Signatory ISO 17025
• ISO 17025 Internal Auditor
• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor
• Essential knowledge of ISO 9001, 18001,14001
• Essential Analytical method validation
• Develop, validate and implement new analytical methods, and procedures
• Perform standby duties to ensure continuous laboratory operations
