Job Description

Engaging with colleagues within Claims functions across areas to collaborate with other functions such as Underwriting, Sales Marketing, Claims Supply, Governance, HR, MI, Legal & Finance.
Engaging and ensuring internal customer stakeholders informed on relevant customer concerns.
Collaborating, informing and engaging with external partners / suppliers to resolve queries, discuss progress and promote efficient communication
Informing, engaging and collaborating with customers with specific claims handling protocol
Implementation strategy and managing the areas / cross border functional resources and performances to achieve agreed objectives and sustaining high performance culture.
Implementing and maintaining talent management strategies
Monitoring and positioning areas / cross border performance against objectives and balanced score cards.
Keeping areas / cross border function informed of all applicable and suitable information by keeping good engagement with staff and other functions
Stakeholding in planning processes, including the identification of risk, involvement in leading change initiatives and having authority for budgetary control
Operating with optimum KPI’s and working efficiently with Human Resources in connection with consistency in pay and reward
Building and measuring the victories against customer specific claims, handling protocol and customer proposition service charter by ensuring fulfill needs and expectations for the customers.
Driving claims to operational excellence on all claims processes and reporting
Any other ad hoc duties as required

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's Degree/NQF Level & (Risk, Legal etc)
At least 10 years specific management experience within claims overseeing a large numbers of staff across locations / site and/or functional areas within large and complex financial services / customer service driven company
Location / Site or Functional managerial background experience required
Progressive knowledge of products and services
Expertise understanding of legislation and legal liability
In Depth understanding of industry standards and protocol
Familiar knowledge of budgetary processes
Experience with leading project and organisational change management
Expertise at communicating and building relationships at all levels
Comprehension of claims operational capabilities, strategies and on-going innovations.
Effectively prioritize and organize workload
In depth awareness of interdependencies with underwriting, finance, reinsurance, marketing and legal.
