The successful candidate will also be required to ensure legal compliance and to make sure all functions is performed according to Mine Standards & Specifications.

Job Description

Performing control and instrumentation equivalent activities to equipment / instruments and systems
Benchmarking, monitoring and evaluating technology by ensuring continuous improvement
Investigating and diagnosing problems and breakdowns to determine resources needed and order spares
Maintaining and communicating networks according to group standards
Diagnosing faults on industrial instrumentation and controlling of equipment
Executing repairs and preventing maintenance work on all A&I equipment to adhere with technical specifications.
Coordinating and monitoring equipment availability
Recommending and implementing improvements and changes to expand operations
Examining, testing and repairing control and instrumentation equipment
Supervising and advising on installations and maintaining of equipment
Planning extensions and modifications to current instrumentation infrastructure
Attending to applicable administrative functions and maintaining of instrumentation documents.
Installing and modifying new systems
Planning and controlling Control & Instrumentation Budget
Planning and managing training for employees in department

Minimum Requirements

N6 Electrical Engineering / Instrumentation & Process Control / Instrument Technician must have Trade Test (Instrumentation /Instrument Mechanician) / Ndip Electrical Engineering (Light Current) / Instrumentation and Process Control
At least 5 - 7 years working experience in a Control & Instrumentation role within a Mining environment
Industrial Instrumentation & Winding Control Network Certification
Supervisory Development Programme advantageous
Extensive knowledge of configuration and programming
Knowledge of Computer Systems & Ethernet Networks
Valid Driver’s Licence
