A reputable firm of consulting engineers is looking to hire an ESIA Specialist in their Power department in Johannesburg. Minimum Requirements: • An Honours or Master’s degree in the environmental field • Minimum of 15 years environmental consulting experience • Experience in carrying out ESIA process for large scale thermal power generation projects • Experience in Re-Settlement Action Planning and strategic environmental and social impact assessments (SESA) within the power sector • Experience in carrying out ESIA processes for large scale high power transmission line projects in the Sub- Saharan Africa Responsibilities include: • Business development including the identification, management and development of opportunities and proposals • Project manage and lead ESIA role on local and international ESIA,ESEMP,SESA projects including large international projects • Preparation of project related reports as well as broader review and QAQC role within the ESIA team • Provision of on the job technical training and mentorship to staff within the South African ESIA team
