Permanent Senior Position in the FMCG, Retail & Wholesale (FMCG) industry

Qualification/s:
* BCom Honors
* CIMA or CA (SA)

Skills & Experience:
* 3-5 years’ experience in finance
* FMCG experience (Advantage)

Job Description:
* Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual statements by collecting data
* Processing of cash book receipts and payments
* Ensuring accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
* Ensure accuracy of monthly stock takes, investigating unusual variances with the assistance of operations
* Prepares monthly general ledger recons and ensures monthly creditors recons are done and all queries are resolved timeously
* Investigates variances by analyzing the factory income statement and balance sheet and implementing corrective action
* Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures
* Analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide practical recommendations and maintain solutions to business and financial problems
* Provides financial advice to General Manager by studying operational issues; applying financial principles and practices
* Preparing factory annual budgets and developing quarterly forecasts by analyzing revenue and expenditure trends and recommending appropriate budget levels and ensuring expenditure control
* Address and resolve all findings issued by the Internal and External auditors
* Evaluate and improve all systems, procedures and internal controls to mitigate any operational and financial risks
* Assist General Manager with management of the factory and maintain a positive work environment
* Deadline-oriented, attention to detail, proactive and trouble-shooter
* Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles
* Willingness to work a flexible schedule
* Experience in the management of financial systems and budgets, financial reporting, financial data analysis, auditing, taxation and providing financial advice
* Knowledge of internal control, systems, policies and procedures and risk
