RedCat Recruitment is urgently seeking an experienced SENIOR FMCG BUYER for a national concern, position based in Durban.


REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12.
Relevant qualification an advantage.
Extensive knowledge of local FMCG suppliers.
5yrs+ experience in the procurement / buying field.
Centralised buying experience.
Planning, cycle deals and activity experience.
Person will be responsible for the development of existing relationships with FMCG suppliers and creating more where required.
Purchasing of FMCG products with existing and new South African suppliers.
Purchasing for consolidated containers.
Development of the company’s product range and sourcing of new products where requested.
Logistics: negotiation of freight rates (road, air and sea rates).

Salary package offered: - Negotiable (depending on previous experience).
