Mr Backup is seeking the services of a dynamic Senior IT Technician to join our team in Diep River, Cape Town. Our company has offices in Cape Town, London, Lisbon and Johannesburg and we operate throughout Africa, UK and the European Union. We have been in operation for 10 years, and are respected for our unique data management solutions and excellent service.

Job requirements
The successful candidate should be in possession of:
• Minimum 3 years’ industry experience is essential
• A+ and N+
• VMCE Certification is a great advantage
• Data Backup, restoration and disaster recovery knowledge i.e. Veeam, Storage Craft and Acronis would be an advantage.
• Some form of advanced networking
• Microsoft Server trouble shooting remotely and onsite
• Understanding of Virtual Environments
• Excellent communication and command of the English language
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with a high level of initiative
• Presentable with good interpersonal skills
• Drivers Licence and preferably own vehicle

Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Salesperson accompaniment
• Pre sales on site meetings
• Maintenance and support
• Architecture and customisation
• Monitoring of Backup solutions for clients

The job entails working to provide storage and data management solutions for efficient and safe preservation, and restorability. Your duties may consist of designing a data recovery and backup system to implement remotely or onsite at a client.

Salary
Package is negotiable but will be made up in part by a large share of hourly billing too.
