Our client, a successful manufacturer and supplier of Airconditioning Products and Components based in Montague Gardens, requires a Senior Lighting Sales Executive.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Building strong lasting relationships with customers through the delivery of sound technical advice & outstanding customer service
Organizing sales visits
Cold calling engineering consultants, interior design agencies, architects and lighting professionals to get solutions specified for Projects
Ensuring that sales targets are met
Achieving quarterly sales targets through cold calling and marketing activities
Identifying and establishing new business
Developing new leads in niche industries
Writing reports and sales literature
Managing client database and assisting in preparation of sales documentation, brochures, catalogues and industry events
Responsible for development and delivery of product demonstrations
Setting up of daily showroom visits for customers and third party consultants
Designing and implementing the company’s technology as well as accurately implementing indoor and outdoor luminaires
Providing post implementation support and assistance to customers and consultants
Providing product education and advice
Providing support and training for internal staff
Researching competitor technology & solutions
Keeping up-to-date on latest products and technology changes
Providing feedback to the engineering team on these changes
Researching complementary technology applicable to what the company does
Responsible for representing the product to customers in meetings and at field events such as conferences, trade shows and seminars
Respond to functional and technical requirements in RFPs
Convey customer requirements to Product Management teams
Travel throughout sales territory (RSA)

Minimum Requirements:

Lighting or Electrical Engineering Diploma or Degree
3 years’ experience in the Lighting/ Electrical Engineering Industry
Thorough knowledge and understanding of LED lighting technology and control systems
A good communicator and able to present at senior level
Outgoing, self-motivated individual with great listening skills
Comfortable & competent with technology
An ability to provide outstanding customer service
High emotional intelligence, personable and calm under pressure
Someone who does not mind getting stuck in and getting their hands dirty
