Senior Manager: Supply Chain Solution Architect/Business Development position

Salary R900k to R950k per annum

The employer is a reputable major player in the Supply Chain Solutions Sector within SA with operations overseas and part of large and successful listed holding group

The Senior Manager / Solution Architect will provide the vision and strategy to inform client solutions and will provide delivery support in the form of architectural assistance or project management for critical business solution implementations.

The successful candidate must have:
• Matric Qualification
• Relevant tertiary qualification
• Higher relevant education preferred but not mandatory
• 5 - 6 years’ working and proven hands on experience in related industry having worked on multiple projects involved / delivery in:
- Architect solutions by mapping customer business problems to end-to-end business application solutions.
- Project management.
- Use and deployment of methodologies, technologies and standards.
- Supervision of project teams consisting of five personnel or more.
• Preferred exposure and work experience in Supply Chain Solutions.
• Preferred exposure and work experience in Financial Services Sound
• MS Office literacy
• Driver’s License
• Own reliable transport

Your busy and challenging day will include but not limited to:
• Present the company’s product and/or service in a structured professional way.
• Develop value propositions and clearly define the inputs required to create cost estimates when preparing and presenting proposals.
• Establish an overview of the requirements defined by the customer including definition of business, technical, and architectural requirements (co-ordinates inputs from sales team, subject matter experts etc.)
• Architect solutions by mapping customer business problems to end-to-end business application solutions.
• Recognize any inconsistencies, assumptions, and critical elements.
• Designs the end-to-end functional architecture and solution design.
• Provide quality assurance for services within solution area
• Document, propose and discuss the architecture and solution options, recommendations and implications.
• Facilitate and accelerate the decision process considering the customers’ business strategy, drivers and requirements, pain points & challenges knowing the relevant industry trends (incl. technology)
• Deliver effective strategic presentations to audiences of all sizes and cultures.
• Align final solution architecture (including statement of work, schedules and other contractual documents) with final terms and conditions (co-ordinates inputs from sales team, subject matter experts etc.)
• Coordinate with legal, commercial and corporate in areas specific to the solution, to ensure the use of standards and remain compliant to corporate governance requirements. Obtain sign-off from Executives.
• Serve as Project Lead or Project Manager and oversees aspects of project life cycle, from initial kick-off through requirements analysis, design and implementation phases to stable operation, for projects within the business development area.
• Takes ownership of a particular solution offering
