Our client is a global solutions provider in mining, bulk materials handling and minerals processing solutions bringing together a unique source of equipment supply, engineering and project management services. They are currently recruiting a Senior Mechanical Engineer to perform specialist engineering and estimating tasks on tenders and studies and to provide innovative, competitive, up-to-date designs and market intelligence to contribute to project and tender strategy. The ideal candidate will have a mechanical engineering degree, at least 8 years of experience in bulk material handling and a strong capability in overland conveying and/or machine design and/or DEM analysis will be a significant added advantage.

Job description / core competencies:
Develop skills and experience as a Specialist Mechanical Engineer in all aspects of the field of Bulk Materials Handling.
Provide innovative, competitive, up-to-date designs and market intelligence to contribute to project and tender strategy.
Provide mechanical engineering designs and other relevant documentation for tenders and projects.
Actively promote the Company’s professional engineering image, both internally and externally.
Strong capability in overland conveying and/or machine design and/or DEM analysis will be a significant added advantage.
Perform the duties as a mechanical or project engineer on Bulk Materials Handling projects.
Perform specialist engineering and estimating tasks on tenders and studies.
Comply with the statutory safety and legal requirements of the Company and our Clients.
