We are looking for a C engineer to join our talented and passionate team in Cape Town that is driven to build world-class mobile social networking technologies. As a key member of the technical team you will contribute to the design and development of mobile applications that help many millions of people communicate every day. Our development cycles are fast and you will be able to see immediate impact through your work.

Responsibilities
• Lead the engineering of an elegant, innovative world-class mobile app written in C
• Rapidly prototype and implement new innovative features
• Ensure strong UI design principles
• Work closely with designers and core service engineers
• Develop an app that works nimbly and intuitively
• Quickly fix bugs and solve problems

Qualifications
• A degree in computer science is preferred
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with the C programming language
• Analytical focus with strong problem solving skills
• Vast experience with mobile project design, implementation, deployment and debugging
• Is able to adjust code very quickly if needed and knows when to treat issues with urgency
• Passion for building mobile applications
• Understanding of building nimble and rich mobile apps
• Experience with networking and TCP/IP
• Able to work in a dynamic and fast-moving environment
• A knowledge of social networking applications in emerging markets
