PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Fully responsible and accountable for the full payroll, benefits and statutory payments of the company.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Benefits Administration and Calculation
• Preparation of monthly pay slips on VIP payroll
• Processing payroll for up to 1500 employees
• Electronic payslips (emailing them via the payroll system )
• Checking of payroll of my assistant
• Preparation of payroll reports for Finance department
• Reconciling Payroll reports
• Reconciling leave reports
• Completion of UIF documents i.e. U19 and maternity uif forms
• Application of tax directives
• Completing all statutory returns i.e. PAYE , UIF , SDL
• Setting up companies on payroll
• Completion of IRP 5 and IT3a and year end process
• Completion of IRP 501 recons and year end on easyfile system
• Full knowledge of the year end process – easy file
• Dealing with staff queries
• Leave administration
• Garnishee orders
• Handle administration of medical aid/pension/provident funds
• Handle statutory payments - returns and payments
• Process payroll
• Responsible for timeous and accurate capturing of employee data in respect of engagements, terminations, transfers and promotions
• Capturing of leave forms
• Retrenchment and tax directive application
• All aspects of payroll administration and all payroll transfers
• The reconciling of medical aid to the payroll system
• General administration, payroll month end and tax year end administration
• Client satisfaction and client retention

• Checking of all payroll variances
• Preparing the payroll files for finance department
• Producing reports for month end reporting for finance and making sure they reconcile
• Assisting staff members with payroll related queries.
• Preparing and finalising all monthly payroll related reconciliations
• Preparing all payroll related payments to ad-hoc payments such as Court Orders (Dual Duties)
• Producing and updating annual leave schedules & annual leave pay provision schedules
• Up to date with current Taxation and Legislation

KNOWLEDGE
• A minimum of 5 years experience working on the VIP payroll system
• 5 years solid experience in a similar role
