Our client based in Centurion are looking for a Senior PHP Developer to add to their team on a permanent basis who has managed a team or has Team Lead experience You will be Responsible for: • Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers • Build efficient, testable and reusable PHP modules • Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges • Integration of data storage solutions may include databases, key-value stores, blob stores, etc. Experience Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent • Minimum five (5) years’ experience as developer within a senior technical role • Experience working in an Agile environment and with continuous integration and deployment • Exposure to MVC design patterns • User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers and environments • Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system • Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes Technological Capabilities: • Understanding of the whole synchronous behavior of PHP including fundamental design principles behind a scalable application • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git • Solid knowledge of the common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions • Knowledge of SQL/NOSQL databases and their declarative query languages • Knowledge of object oriented PHP programming • Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds • Understanding accessibility and security compliance especially in the finance industry • Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3 Interested candidates can forward their comprehensive written applications to the following e-mail: (at) or fax to: (***)-***-****, you can also contact Caitlin on (***)-***-**** Correspondence will only be conducted with short listed candidates.
