Key Accountabilities
• Test Solution Design and Test Planning.
• Functional Testing - Planning, overseeing and performing of functional testing.
• Non-Functional Testing - Planning, overseeing and performing non-functional testing, covering load and performance.
• Mentoring - Work with other members to ensure that the initiatives being delivered are of a high standard in terms of fit for purpose, application design and quality.
• Work in a collaborative team environment.
• Drives improvements within the project to ensure effective and efficient testing.
• Define and maintain the defect management lifecycle, using a collaborative defect tracking tool (e.g. Zephyr-for-Jira).
• Understand the principles and concepts of SDLC.
• Ability to prioritize work.
• Possess initiative to address issues and identify opportunities.
• Strong leadership and mentorship skills.
• Takes ownership of own work.

Qualifications and Experience
• Qualifications – IT related Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent mix of training and experience.
• Skills – Thorough knowledge of the principles of functional and non-functional testing, and a track-record of innovation in testing.
• Experience – 3-5 years’ experience in Quality Assurance mostly as an Intermediate/Senior Test Analyst.
• Experience – Creating tests and testing standards for HTML 5, XML, JavaScript, MSSQL and Web Application environments.
• Experience – Hands-on testing experience within a whole range of functional testing including UAT, acceptance and system testing for mobile devices.
• Experience – Testing tools and systems like Selenium (IDE & WebDriver), Protractor, SoapUI, MSSQL, WebServices, RESTApi, Browsers (FF, Chrome, IE, Edge, Safari, etc), MS Visual Studio 2015, IIS, MSMQ, Message Driven Architecture, etc.
• Analytical Thinking – High level analytical and problem solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to investigate complex issues and make informed decisions about them when written guidelines are not necessarily available.
• Strategic Perspective – Needs to keep overall objectives and strategies in mind, and not be deflected by matters of detail.
• Stress Handling – Retaining objectivity and proper understanding of a problem or situation when placed under conditions of stress
• Applying standards – Good in application of relevant industry and process standards to all tasks undertaken.
• Knowledge – Hybrid Agile methodologies will be an advantage (Waterfall and Agile).
• Knowledge – CSS, HTML, Java, JavaScript or any other languages advantageous.

• Testing Service – Delivery of the testing service to the business, providing appropriate test coverage to ensure the release of systems without significant fault.
• Testing Support – Manage day-to-day tasks and issues with a positive and flexible approach.
• Business Support – Ensures the necessary support and advice is provided in an effective manner, demonstrating a good understanding of the benefits of a structured approach to testing.
• Achieving Results – Be aware of key business objectives, and ensure these are applied appropriately to all business activities
• Building Relationships – Able to develop effective relationships with all Wonga staff, and be recognised as providing a supporting role.
• Customer Focus (internal & external) – Able to anticipate and understand customer expectations, and ensure customer requirements are met and expectations appropriately managed.
• Communication – Good communication skills suitable for the liaison with departmental staff and senior management. Demonstrate good communication, both orally and in writing, with colleagues, clients and customers including producing reports, preparing, organising and delivering presentations using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Planning and Organising – Good at determining a course of action by breaking it down into smaller steps and by planning and resourcing each of these, making allowance for potential problems.
• Teamwork – Able to contribute effectively towards the objectives of a team, and be able to share knowledge, ideas and information. Aware of the needs, objectives and constraints of those in other disciplines and functions.
