Academic requirements
B-Tech or B.Sc. in Quantity Surveying
Technical knowledge and skills
• Expert knowledge of CCS programme – should be able to train other QS’S of the company on how to use the software.
• MS Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint), working knowledge of MS Projects advantageous
• Construction cost management program knowledge (Candy & Build Smart)
• Knowledge of legislation and regulations that impact various construction projects
• Knowledge of various forms of building contracts and requirements (JBCC, NEC, FIDIC, GCC)
Experience
• 8 to 10 years’ quantity surveying experience in similar role
Competencies
• Leadership qualities to guide the company’s other QS’s and take control of the Procurement division of the company
