Upmarket hotel in Franschhoek created a position to deputise for the GM, but primarily to focus on F&B operations. Role involves working closely with restaurant and kitchen teams, focus on wine list, hosting skills definitely required. The candidate will have experience in five star delivery in a similar environment, strong background in customer service, F&B background with understanding of other departments, excellent wine knowledge and experienced in menu design/planning. Duties will in include: management of the restaurant, group bookings, restaurant team, liaison between teams and with guests, assist with menu design support to F&B manager and chefs, being part of dish testing, review and upholding standards fitting the group ethos. The ideal candidate will be acutely aware of management of budgets, stock and cost control and will be sensitive to cultural requirements to ensure seemless operation between teams.
