A multinational company in the interior décor and furniture retail industry is seeking a Senior Sales Consultant to join their dynamic team (Johannesburg and Cape Town - Basic salary + Commission).

Job Purpose:

Maximise sales opportunities and provide excellent customer service in a professional and friendly manner within their upmarket showroom. Enhance the customer experience from pre-sale through to post-sale. Provide valuable advice on fabrics, finishes and accessories.

Main accountabilities:

• Sales & Income generation.

• Consistently achieves monthly sales targets as well as Homeware and Corporate targets on a monthly basis.

• Maximise all sales through variety of internal and external innovative methods (e.g. new local developments etc).

• Work with and build up relationships with Corporate Clients and Decorators providing excellent customer service.

• Acts as the single point of contact for the customer for questions, stock enquiries, ensuring efficient product tracking for timely shipment and delivery of goods purchased as well as overseeing installation of high value orders when required.

• The successful candidate is to ensure all payments are processed timeously.

• Follow up on outstanding orders, previous order transactions, and customer service recons.

• Ensure that when selling from floor that correct procedures are followed, in terms of Administration and that correct product care info is provided.

Technical Skills:

Must have a passion for Interior Décor and proven sales track record within a similar environment. Your corporate and decorator network will enable you to make an immediate contribution within this exciting role.

• The job holder must be able to demonstrate a positive, hands-on, can-do attitude, pro-active ability. He or she must take responsibility for their work, be a team player, be accurate and have excellent customer relation and communication skills.

• The candidate must also be able to work well under pressure, manage difficult customers efficiently, have a valid driver’s license, as well as their own transport and be able to add value to the Customer’s shopping experience. Good level of fitness and general health required.
