Senior Software Engineer (Back-End)

Up to R1.4 Million

SUMMARY

Our client within the Financial Services / Banking Sector has an opportunity for a Senior Back-End Developer to play a key part in a cross-functional team dedicated to the full software development lifecycle from concept to development and deployment. You will also play a critical role in building solutions that offer optimum performance, reliability and scale whilst writing and testing code for the development of the server-side components that power the application’s functionality

RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, Develop, Test, Deploy, Maintain and enhance Complex Software Systems and Applications.
Software Development and System Integration
Database Management and Application Logic
Quality and Testing: Implement and improve Development Frameworks, patterns and practices with a focus on Automated testing.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology
6 Years + proven experience in back-end Software Development
Project Delivery and implementation
Proven exposure to back-end frameworks and technologies.
The Banking Systems Environment will be ideal
Application development and advanced programming concepts
Algorithms and data structures including design patterns
RESTFUL API Design and integration
Cloud Computing Platforms and Services
Deployment using Kubernetes and containerisation
