Senior Software Engineer (Telecoms)

A global telecoms firm is urgently seeking an experienced Software Engineer to be involved in Software Development, Systems engineering (applied to Application programming), DevOps and Automation.

Minimum requirements include but are not limited to the following:
• Preferably University Bachelor’s degree.
• BTech, MTech, IT, Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering
• Any other mathematical and engineering related educational background is also welcome
• 7+ years’ overall experience in a Software Engineering / Development role
• Experience managing a team
• Competent in most of the following areas:
? Software development
? Object Oriented programming
? Dev Ops
? UML
? Basic IP MPLS knowledge
? Engineering Documentation
? Git Version Control
? Agile, SCRUM
? TM Forum
? Master Data Management (MDM)
? UX


Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Developing software applications to support network automation, application deployment, business efficiency, customer service delivery and IT operations.
• Be involved in the dev-ops lifecycle, predominantly: build, test, package and provision of software applications and platforms.
• Implement automated deployment of software and development environments using various technologies including Python, Ubuntu, JIRA, Django, Unix/Linux etc
• Be the technical lead for information systems within the business’ BSS and OSS stacks, and manage the project delivery process accordingly
• Manage resources in the Software Engineering team to deliver on the overall business objectives, projects & development.
