Senior Systems Developer
Northern Suburbs
Process: Technical Assessment, 2 Interviews and Psychometric Evaluation
R550 000 to R650 000 per annum, negotiable

The successful candidate will play a key role in the process of creating new, and maintaining existing solutions within in the Microsoft .Net space, The incumbent will report to the Head of Department and will be based at the Head Office in the Northern Suburbs

• Identifying technology limitations and deficiencies in existing systems and related processes, procedures and methods
• Testing, debugging and correcting errors and faults
• Writing and maintaining program code to meet system requirements
• Designing systems according to technical specifications in accordance with quality standards
• Writing, updating and maintaining technical documentation and operational procedures
• Provide advice, guidance and expertise in developing proposals and strategies for software design activities
• Excellent understanding of information processing principles and practices
• Expert hardware and software evaluation principles and practices
• Thorough understanding of object oriented programming and multi-tier architecture design practices and the ability conceptualise and document creative solutions
• Strong technical architecture and technical support documentation skills
• Working knowledge of database Management Systems such as MySQL, MS-SQL/Server, Oracle, MS-Access
• Practical experience in the Microsoft ASP and .NET space
• Strong experience with Java, C/C++, C#, VBScript, JavaScript, XML, JSON
• In depth experience in relational database design and database replication processes
• Proven experience with systems integration through both REST and SOAP WCF services
• Working knowledge of application development tools and environments like MS VisualStudio, MySQL Workbench, IIS, Windows server
• Technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, such as Servers, Networks, PC, Storage

Qualifications & Experience
• Matric or NQF level 4 equivalent
• At least 7 years’ hands-on programming experience in a technical environment
• BSC Computer Science or related degree or diploma is preferable
