Senior Traffic Engineer (Transportation)
One of our global leading engineering consulting clients with over 65 years’ experience that specialises within the Civil Engineering sector is seeking to employ a Senior Traffic Engineer (Transportation) to be permanently based in Cape Town. The successful candidate should be registered with Engineering Council of South Africa as a Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.)
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Must have a BSc or B.Eng Degree in Civil Engineering
Must have 8-12 years’ practical experience in Traffic and Transportation Engineering (planning, design and operation of transportation facilities)
Must be registered as a Professional Engineer with ECSA
Must be fully proficient in appropriate design software, delivery of major civil design related projects and documentation
Must have experience in managing CAD operators and small teams of civil designers within large civil design projects
Must have experience in Government documentation, standards and codes
Must have thorough knowledge of web-based financial and project cost control systems
Must have excellent communication and written skills
Must be able to manage all risks involved in the project and insure successful results
