Senior Transport Planner
We are urgently recruiting for a seasoned Transport Planner to be responsible for ensuring a maximum optimisation of total transportation cost and vehicle utilisation through high standards strategic planning processes.
You will be using transport planning software to create optimal transport routes/plans, and determine the most cost-effective way to meet service commitments whilst leveraging saving opportunities through consolidation of vehicle routing and scheduling.

Desired Skills & Experience
• Matric and a Degree in Logistics, Transportation Management or related
• 4-5 years experience within a transport / logistics management environment in a similar role
• Fully Computer literate in MS Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
• General knowledge of distribution systems and processes
• KPI Management experience is preferable
• Technical vehicle knowledge and/or experience will be an advantage
• Experience with routing programs, route profitability, vehicle tracking and general fleet experience
• A working knowledge of costings, spread sheet analysis and reconciliation of diesel usage would be a strong advantage
• Knowledge and/or experience with SAP and OPSI preferable
• Fluent in English and at least one African Language
• A valid driver's license
