We are currently seeking a Server Administrator for one of our well established clients.

Requirements:

Degree in Computer Science or related field
Completed MCITCP (Windows Server 2012)
Minimum 5- 7 years’ experience in Windows server systems and Networking Administration
Advanced knowledge of installations, upgrades and troubleshooting of Windows Server 2003, Windows Terminal Server, MS Exchange 2007, WSUS, IIS, and SQL Server.
Strong knowledge and troubleshooting abilities with TCP/IP technologies and network management.
Strong knowledge and experience with Backup Exec 2012
Strong knowledge and experience with SAN type data storage technologies, and external connectivity.
Familiar with LAN, UTP, Cat5, WLAN, RF, Fibre and other Ethernet connectivity technologies.

Responsibilities:

Take a technical lead role in ensuring stability and optimal performance of the company’s Microsoft server technologies including; MS Terminal Server, WSUS, SCCM, SCOM, SQL Server, IIS, and Active Directory, Blackberry Enterprise Server, Echange, HyperV clustering

Collect and review system data for capacity and resource planning.

Configure, monitor and ensure that daily backups run reliably, and are removed off-site.

Assist in developing, maintaining and testing of server elements of company’s DR & BC plan.

Configure and troubleshoot TCP/IP technologies, including WINS, DNS, SMNP, and DHCP.

Provide 2nd level support to IT support team, when issues are escalated.

Perform server hardware builds, install operating systems, and ensure upgrades & patches are applied.

Create and maintain documentation for all server based processes and procedures.

Liaise with Suppliers, Business Partners, Customers, and company staff as required.
