SUMMARY

Are you ready to significantly impact the dynamic world of the manufacturing environment? Look no further! Our cutting-edge facility is seeking a skilled Setter to join their team and play a crucial role in our production process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Identify, report / rectify all technical areas of concern on assigned production equipment (machines, moulds, etc.)
Have an in-depth understanding of the Product and its quality criteria
Process (material feeding and drying, injection moulding, reheat stretch blow moulding and injection blow moulding)
Mould installation
Technical principles and drawings (e.g. assemblies and spare part finding, pneumatic, hydraulic, electric)
Fault analysis and problem-solving
Independently do fault analysis and problem-solving in case of (teamwork as needed)
Product quality / Mould issues
Independently develop machine settings
Set and check that machines are correctly set for each run
Document settings and setting adjustments centrally
Liaise with Maintenance Manager & Production Manager to ensure machine availability vs. major maintenance intervals
Have an overview of what needs to be done and report to the Maintenance Manager & Production Manager
Give completion dates and fulfill tasks required by the Maintenance Manager & Production Manager
Strive for improvement, research and make suggestions
Apply the site’s food safety principles and standards

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Matric is a must!
Minimum N2 Tool, Jig & Die Trade Theory /Trade Tested (Red Seal) Preferred
5 years’ relevant Setting / Plastics / Packaging /Manufacturing experience
Sound understanding of drawings
Fundamentals of fault finding and equipment testing
Sound knowledge of H&S and safe working procedures
