Position: SHE Graduate In-Training
Type: FTC 6 Months
Location: East London
Salary: R25,00 per hour – 40 hours weekly

Requirements:
• NQF 4 qualification + SAMTRAC/ND: Environmental Health
• Knowledge of OHS Act & NEMA
• Above average of written and verbal communication
• Initiative, good problem solving & Attention to detail
• Excellent time management
• Good analytical ability
• Experience in an Automotive manufacturing environment will be advantageous
• Good Computer Skills - MS Word, MS Power Point & MS Excel
• Excellent Interpersonal Skills
• Own vehicle

Responsibilities:
• Assist with ensuing legal compliance to SHE legislation
• Prepare for external/internal audits
• Communicate legal register to the applicable Department Heads
• Assist with the yearly review and communication of policies and procedures in place
• Identify& order all SHE related Posters
• Monitoring Compliance of employees & visitors to PPE site requirements
• Update of Notice boards with SHE information and Stats
• Conduct Contractor Induction
• Liaise with Site Security Company on Security Issues and on Waste Removal
• Compilation of SHE Stats
• Assist with the conducting & communicating Risk Assessments for the various processes
• Conduct weekly SHE walkabouts
• Conduct weekly SHE tool box talks on all the hazards, risks & incidents within the plant
• Compilation of Departmental SHE Stats & action plans
• Conduct Job Observations/ Behavioral Safety Observations
