A well established mine is currently recruiting for a Shiftboss (LHD Production) In the Northern Cape area

Position Purpose:

Responsible for the achievement of production targets, budget and cost control as well as safety and risk assessment audits, evaluations and reports with in the Production Section.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12/or NQF Level 3 (relevant to position)
• Valid Permanent Blasting Certificate for Scheduled Mines / Underground Hard Rock Level 3 Certificate of Competency
• Valid driver’s license
• 5 years underground experience as a Miner
• Previous experience as Shiftboss will be advantageous
• Experience in Production Loading will be advantageous
• Computer Literate in MS Office Suite

Responsibilities:

• Liaise with a multi-disciplinary team to achieve set targets
• Production planning
• Manage fleet utilization and cave management compliance
• Manage costs, ordering of items and time keeping
• Ensure that crew members adhere to Security and SHE policies and procedures
• Train and develop subordinates
• Work overtime, standby and be available for call-outs when required
