About the Job:
Site Manager: RA/ Civils preferably within the GSM and microwave industry is required by our client to implement and install all Radio Frequency (RF) and Civils related requirements
Summary of duties
• Radio frequency (RF) installation and commissioning work experience essential
• Low capacity split unit microwave installation experience, e.g., Ericsson Minilink.
• Antenna/feeder installations.
• Feeder sweep testing.
• Antenna optimisation.
• GSM equipment installation, including BTS and rectifier installation.
• Basic electrical reticulation work experience is essential.
• Rigging skills experience is essential.
• General building skills experience will be beneficial but is not essential.
• Must be able to read, understand and implement site construction / build-to drawings.
• Must be prepared to travel extensively.
Responsibilities
• Must see to all safety, housekeeping and training requirements of site staff.
• Follow, abide and report back on all implementation programmes
• Look after the well-being of the team whilst on site.
• Site construction (civils) within the time allowed as per the SOW specified.
• Correct implementation of RF installations as per Engineering specification supplied.
• Interaction with client representatives regarding technical RF matters.
• To comply with any further instructions or requirements of a reasonable nature that may be given by senior management from time to time.
• All health, safety and environmental responsibilities on site and ensuring adherence to all Please note that, as duties and responsibilities change, this job specification may be reviewed and amended from time to time.
Education / Skills Requirement
• Must have a general understanding of the GSM and microwave communication interfacing.
• Be able to perform sweep tests and identify any problem areas with an understanding to re solve such.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently from support of management and able to make informed decisions.
• Must have a general understanding the civils field.
• Must have good site management skills. Able to follow and abide to project programmes.
N/ B This individual will require the minimum of a 2 litre one tonner Bakkie.
