Our well established client in the battery manufacturing industry is looking for a dynamic Sales Engineer to join their committed team at the Cape Town Branch.

We will only consider those applicants who meet with all the below minimum requirements for a pre-interview.


Minimum Requirements:



  • Matric  & Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent  is essential

  • Minimum of 5 Years engineering sales experience

  • Fully computer literate (MS Office)

  • Able to communicate on all levels with confidence and ease

  • Have the ability to work alone and to work in a  close-knit team

  • Have a customer service approach and mindset

  • Professional, approachable and well presented

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills

  • Must be prepared to travel when required

  • Valid code 08 drivers licence and own reliable vehicle


Key Performance Areas:



  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations that explain products and services to existing and potential customers

  • Responsible for achieving sales targets

  • Provide technical and non-technical support and services to customers

  • Develop and maintain high level customer relationships to ensure customer service excellence

  • Document all account activities

  • Respond to functional and technical elements of RFQ’s/ RFI’s, or RFP’s

  • Keep informed of all industry activities, including product/service trends, emerging technologies, competitors, etc
