Job Description:

Record business information and transactions accurately in the company’s accounting system
General bookkeeping function to Financial Statements (payables and receivables, credit control, payroll, ledgers, purchasing administration and fixed asset registers)
Record keeping and financial system administration
Distributing money appropriately to various departments within the company
Invoicing deliveries and paying vendors for their goods and services
Manage and control corporate governance (VAT returns, payroll returns and corporate tax returns)
Fixed asset register (cashbook)
Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries
Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries
Maintains historical records by filing documents.
Maintain and depreciate all bank statements / assets
Recording cash receipts and handling bank deposits
Maintaining petty cash
Preparing information for auditors
Keeping an annual company budget
Debtors and creditors management
Administrative support function
Capture invoices, manage payment process as per location specific requirement

Minimum Requirements:

Matric Certificate
Must have a relevant accounting degree (Minimum of 60+% end result achievement)
5+ years accounting experience collectively
MUST have intercompany accounting processing experience - imperative
Experience from a manufacturing company preferred.
Knowledge of the full accounting function
Computer literate, highly skilled in excel spreadsheets and able to work with web-based accounting and payroll software - Specifically Pastel
JobBoss manufacturing software experience highly advantageous
Driver’s license and own transport - preferably based in East Rand.
