Main Purpose

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual with good people skills to join our Business Technology Management team as a Senior BI Consultant.

Responsibilities/Output

As the successful candidate, your responsibilities will include the following:

· Work in an AGILE environment and attend daily SCRUM feedback sessions

· Be responsible for extracting; transforming and loading data from various sources into an efficient data
warehouse

· Create and deploy reports

· Be a data expert with a strong background in computer science and programming

· Take part in the initial requirements gathering phase, from which the planning and designing of the solution
follows

· Develop the BI solution, including the design and development of the extraction, transformation and loading
(ETL’s) modules, the design and development of the cubes, design and development of queries and reports and
the deployment thereof

· Monitor whether the solutions are effective, troubleshoot and fix problems.

· Be responsible for designing and building online analytical processing (OLAP).

· Diagnose and repair problems that users have with specific applications or reporting

· Have a working knowledge of Qlikview and SQL Reporting

· Adhere to risk management and compliance requirements

· Ensure the correct organisational model is in place to deliver a highly efficient service to the business and our
clients

· Ensure the effective utilisation of Cloud environments so that these services are delivered in the most cost
efficient way

· Monitor and manage the utilisation of company resources by staff in the technical team

· Manage contracts and service delivery of external vendors

· Maintain and develop organizational culture, values and reputation with all staff, customers, suppliers and
partners

· Effectively manage the performance and morale of team members through formal and informal performance
management and development activities/interventions, and by fostering behaviours which support the
organisational values and culture


Competencies/Skills



As the successful candidate, you have a 3 year IT Related degree or higher.

You have at least 6 years post qualification, hands-on experience in a BI environment.

You have some, if not all of the below preferred skills/qualifications:
