Overview:

In heading up the Water Business Unit within Pretoria the Senior Design Engineer is responsible for the operation and design work for the municipal water and/or wastewater treatment plants.

Responsibilities:

Responsible to carry out the design work for all civil engineering and process elements of water and or/wastewater treatment plants
Responsible for heading up the water/wastewater treatment section within the water division.
Write project reports and technical and cost proposals/tender documents independently
Required to bring relevant knowledge of client base in the water services field in RSA to the job requirement
Prepare and submit proposals and tender documents.
Marketing the service with clients
Planning and design of other general water related infrastructure, such as pump stations, large bore steel pipelines, etc.
Required to work with other specialists

Minimum Requirements:

Civil Engineering Degree
Registered as a Pr Eng with ECSA
Experience working within a consultancy
8-10 yrs exp: Water infrastructure design
5 years of exp: Design of water and/or wastewater treatment plants.
Must have engineering design, planning, process design
Experience in operating of municipal water and/or wastewater treatment plants.
Additional Qualifications (Advantageous - not imperative): Postgraduate studies related to water/wastewater treatment / NQF7 (labour based construction), Pr CPM
International experience would be highly advantageous
