Qualifications:

Master’s Degree / PhD in Economics majoring in Economics History / Macro Economics / Econometrics / Politics / Philosophy and Economics

Advanced MS and Basic programming skills and usage of econometric models

Ability to use Bloomberg / Inet and Reuters Terminal Services

Experience:

Min 5 years relevant exp in the industry

The incumbent will be expected to do:

Forecasting and analysis of countries / industries and regions

Develop econometric models

Develop methods and procedures for collecting and processing data

Compile data relating to research area such as exports / sector productivity / national content / development strategies of other countries

Extract data from literature and primary sources

Review and analyse economic data to prepare reports detailing results of investigation

Ensure long term data sheets on countries are prepared

Analyse and feedback on major free trade agreements / major legislation and impact on various sectors / export credit insurance industry transformational initiatives

Prepare quarterly economic strategy reports

Write article that correctly and positively positions the Corporation’s brand / products and services

Write articles for external publications

KPI’s: Data modelling and forecasting / technical reports and presentation / risk pricing / strategic ad hoc research and analysis / interaction with external and internal clients and stakeholders
