Job Description:

Book forward exchange contracts involving sale or purchase of a currency at a fixed price on a fixed future date, arranged or bought as a hedge against adverse exchange rate fluctuations.
Ensure banking relations through the coordination of authorized users, bank account administration, and FOREX facilities.
Ensure continuous reconciliation of BEX (Logistical Export system) and accounting platforms (ledgers and Pastel).
Learn International Commercial Terms (INCO terms) relevant to effectively monitor cost in supply chain.
Handle FOREX payments and the accounting thereof
Prepare month end closing of legal entities accounts.
Maintain a complete and accurate trial balance through the posting of bank statements and journals.
Reconcile accounts denominated in various currencies (i.e. Rand, USD, GBP & Euro).
Review and analyze debtors and creditors aging with respective team members.
Co-ordinate external audits and attend to queries by auditors.
Maintain Fixed Asset register and Depreciation schedules.
Managing stock take & Inventory Reconciliations.
Prepare and submit VAT and Income tax calculations (SARS interaction).
Reconcile Intercompany transactions.
Implement financial internal controls and ensure the necessary compliance thereof.
Prepare International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) financial statements.
Prepare and implement financial policies and procedures (i.e. pool car usage, cell phone, petty cash, vehicle)
Prepare and communicate monthly accounts (actual vs. budget vs. forecast)
Report on accounts to Group stakeholders
Manage and prepare working capital and cash flow forecasting
Coordinate company and departmental budget process
Profit and loss forecasting and five-year planning
Analyse and report on profitability per cost center of expenses
Liaise with the Sales team to ensure approved pricing is invoiced to customers
Assist in the control of costs in the supply chain through regular interaction with the Logistical team.

Qualifications:

Bacherlors in Accounting (Honours degree)
Chartered Accountant of South Africa – CA (SA) or equivalent (e.g. CIMA qualification)
Drivers license
Post-articles commercial experience (2-3 years)
Groups reporting (desirable)
ERP system experience (2-3 years)
Inventory/Export systems experience (desirable)
IFRS (3-4 years)
