We are currently seeking a senior java developer for one of our well established clients.

Requirements:

Degree, Diploma or Certification in computer science
Familiar with one or more programming languages
Good written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, highly logical, technically proficient.
Minimum four (4) years of experience in programming and system design.
Minimum 2 years experience development in Java
Java-related general application integration experience
Worked in the Enterprise Application Integration arena
Previous development experience in relational databases, preferably Oracle
Experience on any of the integration platforms, such as Oracle Java CAPS, Incentage
Service Bus, TIBCO, IBM Websphere, would be advantageous
Good working knowledge of UNIX/Linux Operating system
Exposure to XML
Exposure to SWIFT will be an advantage
Previous experience with IBM MQ Websphere Series on UNIX/Linux
Experience in financial services industry
Exposure to Service Orientated Architecture
Exposure to J2EE and EJB and JMS

Responsibilities:

Supervises the work of other programmers. Provide technical assistance, as required to the programmers and other Information Systems employees.
Minimise system downtime
Develop and produce specification and architecture that is in accordance to agreed standards for programs by designing codes tests, debugs and corrects sections of code programs (stringent testing cycle) to obtain sign off for a robust solution with supporting documentation
Produce complex program specifications and implement system enhancements by addressing specific business needs and resolving enquiries
