A well-known Construction/Material Supply company operating throughout South Africa is looking for a suitably qualified Snr Site Agents/Site Agents with a sound knowledge of Roads & Surfacing and who is prepared to travel.

SITE AGENT - Roads & Surfacing

Education / Qualification
• BSc or BTech in Civil Engineering

Experience

• Approximately 5-7 years as an Engineer on construction sites.
• Roads & Surfacing Experience.

Requirements

• Sound knowledge of site environments and workflow requirements
• Good technical knowledge associated with site construction requirements
• Computer literacy
• Sound knowledge of all Construction Industry legislation
• Good interpersonal skills and people management ability
• Contract Law
• Planning and Scheduling

Key Responsibilities

• Manage revenue, measurement and variation orders
• Ensure procurement complies with company procurement procedures
• Ensure adherence to productivity control systems
• Ensure timeous compliance to contractual correspondence (e.g. notifications, timeframes, site letters, meetings)
• Ensure workflows are optimized and all documentation is easily accessible and records are maintained (e.g. filing systems, distribution systems, tender files, minutes of meeting, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards and requirements (including results of audit reports)
• Ensure awareness of safety standards and a culture that promotes adherence to safety and environmental standards
• Develop and monitor resourced sectional working program
• Submit all necessary returns timeously
• Labour reports issued and used effectively i.e. overtime, coding, etc.
• Management of Plant, Equipment and Vehicles
• Cost Controls in place-monthly accruals or actuals
