Your job responsibilities as the Social Media Strategist in Johannesburg will include:

- Develop and implement tactical plans, including inspired and moderated solutions, to build and nurture communities on an individual basis
- Demonstrate an expertise in the various platforms and locations where conversation and community live
- Incentivize user-generated content creation and sharing
- Curate creative and design implementation strategy across platforms
- Work with clients to develop on-brand messaging that best represents their voice and tone online
- Establish metrics, glean community insights & report on them on a monthly basis including recommendations
- Communicate issues, opportunities and insights to the company at large
- Stay up to date on new social media tools, best practices and how other organizations and companies are using them, so that the company can continue to be an early adopter of these technologies
- Participate in professional networking by interacting with peers and influencers & attending events

Job requirements:

- 4+ years experience in content or social brand management, editorial background and/or work a big plus
- High fluency in multiple social media channels, including but not limited to: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat, Vine, and others such as YouTube, Flickr, Flipboard, Yelp, and KIK, just to name a few
- Keep abreast of the latest trends to implement best practices and promote client understanding of emerging technologies
