Key Performance Areas/ Description of Duties:

- Supervise and mentor case and statutory work of social workers and social auxiliary workers
- Supervise existing social / community programmes.
- Mentoring and supervision of OVC Programme Co-ordinator
- Liaise with Department of Social Development and other relevant internal and external stakeholders within our target areas.
- Assess identified needs and develop practical methods to meet these with particular emphasis on psychosocial needs within the Child and Family Care and Orphans and Vulnerable Children Programme.
- Maintain sound financial and budgetary controls in the department.
- Prepare proposals and reports for the Department of Social Development and other relevant bodies for submission to the Executive Director or Designate.
- Oversee that the various churches and community resources that are involved with poverty relief and other social services programmes receive report back.
- Facilitate training needs and conduct in-service training of relevant subordinates.

Requirements: Qualifications & Experience:

- Degree in BA (Social Work) / B.Soc sc. (Social Work)
- Registration with SACSSP
- Code 8 driver’s license
- 10 years’ experience as a Social Worker
- Experience of staff management
