Purpose: The purpose of the role is to manage the soft services within the Building Management Unit and to provide a positive experience for members, staff and visitors through the provision of a clean and well maintained environment.

Qualification and Experience:
• Grade 12 / Matric
• A minimum of 3-5 years’ relevant experience in delivering soft facilities management services within a diverse and geographically spread property portfolio.
• A National Diploma or an equivalent qualification in any of the following disciplines: (Built Environment, Horticulture, Property /Facilities management)
• At least 1yr Supervisory experience

Responsibilities:

Risk Management

o Asset Management Policy implemented, monitored and necessary action taken
o Stock control system which can be used in conjunction with ORGANIZATION procurement processes.
o Support the building management team in the preparation and management of budgets
o Telephone and Communications Management Policy implemented, monitored and necessary action taken
o Order and control of stock of commonly used items.
o Signed off Quotations and Invoices

Building Maintenance

o Carry out a review of all current cleaning contracts, identifying areas for improvement and obtaining a clear understanding of the services provided and the charges applied
o Review the current waste disposal process and create a strategy with clear targets for reductions in landfill
o Adherence to the Client Service Charter & the units service charter
o Manage the incumbent cleaning supplier and specialist cleaning suppliers
o Assist the Building Manager with the preparation of contract documentation for Request For Information (RFI) / Request For Price (RFQ)
o Oversee the grounds maintenance and external cleaning of the precinct.
o Supervise the in house team of general maintenance operatives
o Undertake other duties within the scope of the Building Management function as requested by the Manager Building Management

o Stakeholders expectations(Members and ORGANIZATION Staff) met
o Monitor levels of cleanliness.
o Provision of rapid turnaround of the stakeholder’s requests and requirements.
