Our client requires the services of a suitably qualified, well-motivated and results driven Software Developer – 12 months FTC.

Purpose
The emphasis of the post shall be to design, develop, implement, document, review, and test Software (SW), according to System Specifications inputs, company SW procedures, and RCTA/DO-178B guidelines.

Key Performance Areas
Software Development:
• Develop software on real-time, windows, VxWorks and Linux based operating systems.
• Embedded controller development.
• Software testing and safety certifications (Code coverage, robustness testing, etc)
• Software support and maintenance (Bug fixing, upgrading, etc)
• Software configuration management (Version control (Git), etc.)
• Verification & validation of embedded software during the various System Integration phases.
Documentation:
• Compile/provide inputs to High Level SW Requirements/Description documents (SSS, SSDD, SDDs, STDs, IRSs and SVDS) FROM System Level Specifications, in accordance with , ISO12207, MIL-STD-498 and MIL STD-961D
• Generate/compile Software Safety Certification evidence
• Apply all applicable company policies, procedures and work instructions to the best of your ability including Company Employee Ethics Policy number 41.
Minimum Requirements
• B Eng.Electronics Degree or equivalent
• At least 3-5 years related experience
• Must be able to perform under pressure and keep to target dates
• Shall be willing to share knowledge/transfer knowledge/act as mentor for other team members
• Working knowledge of Windows, Linux and VxWorks operating system environments as well as VME architecture.
• Competent in the following programming languages: C, C++
• Computer literate: MS Office Suite of Applications
• Knowledge of Software safety certification (RTCA/DO-178B)
