Requirements:

• South African Citizen
• Bachelor of Science degree or similar
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience
• Ability to work with Object Oriented Programming languages (see preferred languages below)
• Detailed understanding of Linux (Red Hat/CentOS/Fedora/Debian)
• Detailed knowledge of a web server (either Apache or nginx)
• Detailed knowledge of MySQL/PostgreSQL database and associated SQL language.
• Experience with one of the following technologies: Delphi / Pascal / Free Pascal, PHP, C++, , jQuery, JSON, JavaScript, AJAX, SOAP
• A willingness to learn (primarily by self-study with support from the IMIS team), understand and apply the following technologies:
o Cloud Computing using OpenStack, CloudStack, CEPH and Containers
o Virtualisation technologies (KVM and VMWare)
o High Availability computing in Linux.
