Software Engineer
Compuscan’s R&D and Professional Services Business Unit is a software development consultancy that specializes in building new systems from scratch. With a flat management structure, you will be empowered to influence product development and the technologies and tools used.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline
• Experience in a similar role advantageous
- Java (mostly using the Vert.x and other modern event-driven Reactive frameworks)
- Mendix
- PostgreSQL
- Maven
- TeamCity
- Linux
- Ansible
- React

Key Competencies

• Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Java, Python, C, Haskell or Scala
• Strong technical abilities
• Aptitude for systems modelling
• Experience with MATLAB, Mathematica, Octave, Wolfram or R a bonus
• Working knowledge of HTML5 a bonus
• Able to work in a team

Key Performance Areas

• Build expert software systems using a modern, event-driven, reactive Java development stack
• Build custom systems using Mendix
• Work in a highly-technical agile development team led by a senior solutions architect with over 20 years of experience at the cutting edge of software engineering technology
