My client, an International Online Gambling company, based in Century City, is seeking to employ a Software Quality Assurance Tester to join their team. They are seeking innovative thinking candidates that are able to take initiative and responsibility.

Requirements:

• Drivers’ licence and own transport
• PASSION for achieving excellence in product quality and reliability 
• Good experience and understanding of internet, web sites and their usage by ordinary people
• Understanding of FS & TPG web site structures and back-end (Knowledge of HTML, HTML5 & CSS advantageous)
• Understanding of Databases & SQL query writing 
• Strong with methodologies, tools, best practices and processes within area of responsibility
• Proficiency in utilising quality improvement tools and techniques
• Design test cases and provide test data requirements that focus on business flows across integrated systems
• Extreme detail-orientation with respect to documentation and communication 
• Able to live with occasional need to iterate repeatedly through mind-numbingly dull test plans (compensated for by ability to engage in unfettered R&D when QA volumes are low)
• Strong 'hands-on' testing abilities and ability to work closely with business units and sub-teams ensuring processes are fully tested
• Strong technical debugging and troubleshooting skills

 
Responsibilities:

• Assist QA Lead to design and implement appropriate QA methodologies for the testing of in-house custom software and systems before they are put into production
• Measure and monitor in-house production software systems to ensure optimal performance 24/7/365
• Create and manage the Software Support function, with the specific aim of ensuring prompt resolution of bugs found in custom production systems
• Create and manage the R&D function, whereby QA and SS developers will be given the freedom to explore any and all technologies and systems that may be of future technical and commercial value to the business
• Work closely with other developers to optimize overall development methodologies and systems
• Planning, development, execution and management reporting of end-to-end scenarios across businesses
• Function within a dynamic Scrum environment requiring vigilance to deadlines, traceability and teamwork
• Work with developers to translate business requirements and functional specifications into test plans and test scripts
• Develop test plans, test scripts, and conditions to match business requirements
• Execute test scripts, strong manual testing of system/web functionality, to ensure proper operation and identify and document gaps in quality
• Debug and troubleshoot system functionality issues. Report and track issues identified to resolution
