PBT Group has a requirement for a Solutions Architect with an in-depth understanding of organisation-wide business processes. The Solutions Architect will be responsible for leading in the design of all software development projects for their assigned projects and identifying appropriate resources and project planning to meet organisational goals.
 
DUTIES:

• Technical architecture and design of comprehensive solutions that meet business requirements.
• Providing subject matter expertise to identify and translate system requirements into software architecture and design documentation.
• Partnering with key role players (e.g Developers, Project Managers, Business Analysts etc) to create well defined solutions that align to the IT strategy and leverage common solutions and services, to meet key project goals.
• Solution evaluation and selection, decision making regarding buy versus in-house development and high level design within the solution development lifecycle.
• Providing guidance and architectural insight during the detailed design, build, test and deploy phases.
• Research and development – looking at new technologies for improving/innovating current IT architecture environment leading to improved overall performance, efficiency of IT Telephony environment and cost- saving.
• Acting as visionary and strategist, supporting department leader regarding the solution area.

 
SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Up to 5 years’ experience in an IT architecture capacity
• At least 3 years’ experience as in a solutions architecture capacity
• Relevant IT experience
• Experience with developing UML diagrams
• Strong Data Modelling experience
• Solid experience with Application Architecture
• Deep understanding of enterprise architecture domains of process, application and data
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture domains of technology and security
• Deep understanding of IT
• Retail knowledge
• Ability to integrate IT Enterprise Solutions Architecture within a complex business environment

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

• Relevant 3 year tertiary or NQF aligned qualification
• Relevant architecture certification
