They are a short term insurance company that operates in a dynamic and vibrant environment.  They are looking for a Software Tester who is passionate about what they do, have a broad understanding of the short term insurance industry and can improve the current systems used for servicing their client base. Requirements:

• 3/5 years of experience as a Software Tester (short term insurance advantageous)
• A good understanding of software testing processes and principles
• Strong manual testing skills
• Exposure to SCRUM methodology
• ISTQB Certification (not required but advantageous)

The main responsibilities for the role will include:

• Review and familiarizing yourself with functional specs from BA’s
• Collaborate closely with BA’s and making suggestions where the system can be improved
• Manual front end functional testing of application
• Collaborate closely with the (scrum) team, identifying, logging, prioritizing and verifying defects
• Defect tracking of all defects logged by you
• Executing regression tests in preparation for go-live
• Carry out exploratory testing to identify any possible issues that might have been overlooked during regression testing and functional testing
