Location: Bellville, Cape Town
Salary: R24k – R32k per month negotiable

We are a Home Solutions team focused on designing, manufacturing and installing state of the art home energy systems. Our objective is to become South Africa’s leading provider of residential PV and energy systems, and we plan to achieve this through offering differentiated products, innovative financing and excellent customer experience. We focus on residential projects and small commercial systems, up to 100 kWp.

Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in customer facing sales
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the Solar PV industry, with at least some exposure to residential installations
University or Technicon degree advantageous
Capable of understanding the technical side of PV systems, but able to relate easily to non-technical clients.
Energized by meeting people and spending time in the field
Ability to establish trust and credibility with high end clients
Ability to work on your own and stay highly motivated
Passionate about Solar PV and/or energy efficiency
Good attention to detail and can produce error free technical proposals quickly, once shown how
You will be required to be in the office at least twice a week
Work will involve extensive travelling to client sites and will be mostly out of office
You will need to use your own car and cell phone, but you will be reimbursed for costs.
You will be provided with a laptop.

Duties:
The solar consultant is the “face” of the brand and the primary point of contact for the client throughout the project.
Your primary responsibilities will be meeting with clients to assess their needs, developing proposals and closing sales.
You will also be involved in monitoring/ overseeing the implementation of projects to ensure that your clients have an excellent end to end experience.
Most of the client leads are generated through our marketing activities, but you will be expected to also bring in your own leads through networking, as well as helping to support marketing activities.
Meeting with potential clients and architects, clarifying their needs and guiding them to the best solutions.
Developing proposals using our standard system selection tools and basic PV and Hot water design principles.
In the case of complex systems, you will work with more experienced engineers to do a thorough system design.
Presenting proposals and closing sales
Overseeing the implementation of projects and ensuring work is done to high standard
Ensuring all invoicing and project documentation is completed timeously and correctly
Supporting marketing activities
Networking to develop own leads
