Our client in midrand is looking for a specialist in Security Assurance.

• To provide a high level, high quality service assurance role to corporate clients.
• Support Hosting technical aspects of a Converged Network infrastructure, including Perimeter Firewall services
• Reporting of all incidents to relevant parties
• Liaising with Client on all Security related events and fault resolutions
• Fault Management update on Siebel SRM
• Client update and follow up until incident closure: Complete understanding of ITIL practices
• Cross collaboration with all levels within the Organization

• Provide Support
• Understanding of IP/GSM/Telecommunications/ICT Industry
• Experience as a Network Security Engineer (5 – 8 years in an IT environment (At least 4 years in a Security environment))
• Experience with firewalls and other security technologies.
• Good knowledge of TCP/IP networking and Internet protocols.
• Good understanding of networking technology, IP Segmentation, Routing and routing protocols.
• Thorough understanding of malware, viruses, IPS and VPN’s.
• Must have excellent trouble shooting skills.
• Preferred to have a degree/diploma in engineering or computer science and must have Professional Level Technology certification
• Good understanding and working knowledge of firewall technologies, and trouble shooting skills in resolving problems.
• Good English language skills
• Great people skills.
• Good communication skills
• Good knowledge of the following technologies
o Fortigate
o RSA
o CISCO ACS
o Juniper

Qualifications & Experience

A Relevant IT Diploma or B. Degree in Information Technology with at least 3 years’ experience, of which
at least 2 years within a complex IP routing and switching environment, of which 1 year with a service provider focus

OR

Matric and relevant IT certification (Security+ and CCNA)
At least 5-6 years hands-on experience of which 3 years must be within a complex ISP Data Centre and Hosting environment of which 3 years must be with a known Service Provider
