Skill Requirements

· B.Sc B. Physio or equivalent
· Or equivalent medical sales experience
· 2 year’s experience in spinal sales not negotiable
· Organizational skills are paramount
· Require good negotiation skills and ability to establish and maintain clear and friendly communications with wide client base

Typical work activities

Arranging appointments with doctors, pharmacists and hospital medical teams, which may include pre-arranged appointments or regular 'cold' calling;

Maintaining own inventory of product brochures and demo models to demonstrate and detail company products

Making presentations to doctors (Orthopods and Neuros and some Anaesthetists), practice staff and nurses in surgery, hospital doctors and pharmacists in the retail sector. Presentations may take place in medical settings during the day, or may be conducted in the evenings;

Aggressively solicit orders from present and prospective customers, seek new customers and formulate and follow plans to make a successful sale

Resolve customer complaints in accordance with Company policy

Successful completion of all required product and sales training prescribed

Assisting in organising conferences/ training sessions for doctors and other medical staff;

Building and maintaining positive working relationships with medical staff and supporting administrative staff. Manage accounts in assigned territory;

Managing budgets (for catering, hospitality, etc.);

Keeping detailed records of all contacts, users and potential customers;

Reaching or exceeding annual sales targets;

Planning work schedules and weekly and monthly timetables. This may involve working with the sales team or discussing future targets with the sales manager. Generally, medical sales reps have their own regional area of responsibility and plan how and when to target health professions;

Regularly attending company meetings, technical data presentations, product training, and briefings;

Keeping up to date with the latest clinical data supplied by the company, and interpreting, presenting and discussing this data with health professionals during presentations;

Monitoring competitor activity and competitors' products;

Maintaining knowledge of new developments in the National Health Service (DOH), anticipating potential negative and positive impacts on the business and adapting strategy accordingly;

Developing strategies for increasing opportunities to meet and talk to contacts in the medical and healthcare sector;

Staying informed about the activities of health services in a particular area.

Preparing and completing sales reports when required

Delivery of stock and/ or instrument set for surgical procedures when required

Completion of paperwork and delivery notes as per company SOP.

Maintaining call calendar in up-to-date fashion

Prepare and submit call reports to your Manager

Maintaining and tracking consignment stock

· The job requires a significant amount of travel in the allocated region

· Occasional long distance traveling may be required from time-to-time

· Attendance at medical trade shows, when required

· Professional attire is mandatory at all times

· Handling of bulky demo models and brochures during course of the workday

· Working overtime and over weekends when required

Salary: - Market related with petrol and cell allowance
