Description:

• Provides unit management support by maintaining quality management, performance management and people management practices.
• Delivers comprehensive and quality patient care to meet the health needs of patients.
• Adheres to Patients’ Rights at all times.
• Prevents, reports and manages medico-legal risks.
• Conducts comprehensive patient care audits.
• Patient records and registers meet legal requirements.
• Identifies and addresses continuous professional development (CPD) needs.

Applicants for this position must :

• Proof or Registration with SANC
• Preferably at least 3 years’ experience as a Professional Nurse in a Medical unit
• Able to promote excellent patient care through mentoring and quality
• Management
• Able to handle conflict and have good interpersonal skills
• A positive attitude towards training students and self-development
