SALES EXECUTVE (SPONSORSHIP AND EXHIBITION)
Are you a Sales Executive with a passion for selling to - and managing - key client accounts?

A fabulous Cape Town opportunity for a highly motivated Sponsorship and Exhibition Sales Executive role has become vacant. Working in a fun, professional and driven work environment and being part of a highly successful global organisation.

Your objective would be to exceed sales revenue targets for each event and establish key relationships with potential sponsors and exhibitor. In addition, you will look to maintain and develop excellent customer relations and have a thorough understanding of the markets you are selling into.

If you have experience of / knowledge within the POWER and / or NATURAL RESOUCES sectors then this is advantageous.

Working closely with functional teams to maximize sales opportunities and promotion the responsibilities for this role include:
• Selling to existing and potential exhibitors to meet and exceed sales revenue targets.
• Selling sponsorship and exhibition for conferences and expos over the phone and face to face.
• Researching and conducting sales campaigns to attract sponsorship.
• Maintaining telephone contact with key sponsorship contacts to establish their promotional strategies.
• Keeping abreast of market developments and identifying and researching new growth areas for sales.
• Working onsite during the build-up, open period and breakdown of all the shows actively helping clients with their onsite requirements.
• Execute successful rebooking campaigns.

Job Requirements:
• Pro-active, target-driven, confident, tenacious and with a “can do” attitude the successful candidate will have outstanding communication skills and effective time management skills. Key requirements for this role include:
• Experience within media sales, conference or exhibitions is essential, or a solid understanding of the industry
• Excellent track record of sales performance, particularly face to face, including objection handling, negotiation, relationship building, problem solving
• Proven experience in closing high value sponsorship deals
• Demonstration of excellent market and product knowledge
• The ability to understand business issues and spot opportunities
• Experience of or knowledge within the POWER and / or NATURAL RESOURCES sectors highly advantageous.
